  I took my daughter for an annual check-up.
  On the day of the appointment I filled a form with her medical history. That was all I filled in at the time. I did ask my daughter whether I should go in with her and she said no, it is only a check-up. Every other dentist she has been to always comes out and gives me feedback on how things went. No one from this place came & spoke to me even after her treatment.
  I went to the reception and I was given the invoice ($607.70), with all the work that was carried out on her plus a treatment plan for the next visit ($245.10).
  All the work carried out on a minor with no consent from the parent. Bad, bad in my opinion and no understanding of the law.
  
  Since when is a minor (14 years) able to give consent?. Myself, the parent was sitting in the waiting room while all this work was carried out on. I was presented the consent form & the invoice after all the work was carried out. I would say the reason behind this was I had a Teen Dental Voucher & you all knew that most parents would sign it as they are not of pocket. Maybe I should have walked out the door without signing anything. Totally disgusting practice.
